About

Kayla Bacon is an emerging artist living in a small beach town called Raglan, New Zealand. Influenced by the light-hearted and funky qualities of 1970s wallpaper design, her work looks towards social change and action by reflecting on the past.

Deepening her inquiry into geometric abstraction, her work plays with colour and illusion. Combining digital and analogue practices, she creates 3D wall-hanging paintings that manipulate perception and produce senses of movement.
